Saturday, April 18th Pastrami, Raised Beds, Nachos and Bird Love

Don cured and smoked aromatic pastrami from venison roasts, way better than any deli version.

Scott assembled raised beds for Reesies digging pleasure.

Maurine made a magazine worthy plate of nachos to eat while watching War and Peace

And I caught a sweet moment between two cardinals

Thursday, April 16th Blind in One Eye?

This female cardinal has been a frequent visitor to our front porch feeder, and I noticed she acted a little strangely, always cocking her head, and being a little slow to leave with approaching visitors.  So, today I was able to get some photos of her, and in those photos I noticed that she may be blind in her right eye.

Thursday, April 9th Playing Pollinator

The coffee tree is in full bloom, and it's too cold to put it outside for the bees to pollinate, so I took the job into my own hands and used a soft brush to try and pollinate the blossoms.  Vermont grown coffee under cultivation!
